The theme: A question of sport
The Aims:
- to get full information about sport and its role in our life
- to improve pupils’ listening, speaking, reading, writing skills
- to enrich pupils’ vocabulary, reading texts, dialogues and analyzing them
- to teach the students to express their opinions about the role of sport in our life
Equipment’s: an interactive blackboard, computer, handouts
The procedure of the lesson
1. Organization moment
1) Greeting:
- Say “Hello”
- And clap your hands
- Don`t say No
- And please say Yes
Dear children today we shall speak about sport. Speak about your favorite sport.
What is your favorite sport?
Why do you like it?
What sport do you go in for?
Do you do your morning exercises every day?
Do you sleep more than 8 hours?
When do you go to bed?
2) Warm up stage.
Today we are going to speak about sports and games. If you go in for sports you will be healthy
Lets begin our group work I`ll give out a broadsheet. Discuss in group and then present it to your classmates.
Lets count from 1 to3
- The1st group is Sport
- The 2nd group is Game
- The 3rd group is Health
3) As you know our lesson is about a question of sport Now open your books at page 14 ex: 2
Listen, repeat check.
Sports: athletics, badminton, baseball,,]badminton, baseball, basketball, cycling, football, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, judo, karate, rugby, surfing, swimming, table - tennis, tennis, volleyball
4) Our life is connected with sports and games. And now look at the active - board and match the sports and their descriptions.
