Жүргізуші: Hello, boys and girls. I am glad to see you. I hope you are well.
Today we are going to play a game. I'm sure that you know English very well and you’ll show your knowledge. But first let me introduce our judges: (ағылшын тілі мұғалімдерімен таныстырады).
Our participants are: ( ).
And all the others will support the players.
The rules of the game are following: I'll give you different tasks.
- Мaking up sentences about London.
- “London is the capital of Great Britain”
- “Do you believe?”.
- “Making the dialogues”.
- «Who is the best translator?»
- Questions for the captains.
For right answers you'll get stars. That who'll get more stars will be the winner. After every tour one player will leave the game.
Let's start.
TASK 1:

TASK 2:
Жүргізуші: I'll describe you a place of interest of London. All of them are presented on the board. You must show me the number of this place. (презентация слайд 2)
1 - Westminster Abbey
2 - Buckingham Palace
3 - Hyde Park
4 - The Houses of Parliament
5 - St. Paul's Cathedral
6 - the White Tower
Description of the places:
1. There are many old and new beautiful parks in London. This park is the largest one. It is one of the most popular places of Londoners during the hot summer days. The park is famous for its Speaker's corner. (Hyde Park)
2. It is a wonderful building. The Queen Victoria Memorial is situated in front of it. It takes you ten minutes to get from this building to Trafalgar Square, which is the center of London. The Queen of Great Britain lives there. (Buckingham Palace)
3. It was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King's Zoo. Now it is a museum. You can see a lot of interesting things in the halls of this building. William the Conqueror built it in the 11 - th century/ Twelve black ravens live in it. People believe that London will be rich while the ravens live there. (the White Tower)
4. It is one of the greatest English churches. It is not far from the Tower of London. The famous English architect Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17 - th century after the Great Fire. It is a fine building with many columns and towers. In one of the towers there is one of the largest bells in the world. (St. Paul's Cathedral)
5. It is more than 900 years old. There are many monuments and statues there, many English Kings and queens are buried there. It is famous for the Poet's corner. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. This church has two tall towers. (Westminster Abbey)
6. It is a long grey building with towers. The large clock in one of the towers is known as Big Ben. You can hear the sound of Big Ben every hour in London. The clock and the bell got their names after Sir Benjamin Hall. The members of the British Parliament work in this building. (the Houses of Parliament)
TASK 3:
Жүргізуші: Here is our third contest “Do you believe?”. Look at the board. You see some statements. And you should answer if you believe them or not. You will have 15 seconds to discuss it in your groups and the captain will show us the sign. Happy smile for the answer “yes” and sad smile for the answer “no”.
OK, let’s begin.
TASK 4:
Well done! And now we come to the next contest “Making the dialogues”. You have cards with the sentences. Put them in the right order to make up the dialogue. You have 2 minutes to discuss the task. Then two of your team will read us the dialogue and the captain of your team will show the right answer on the board.
