Aim: to increase students’ interest in learning English language
Objectives:
1) to systematize lexical - grammatical material on the previous themes
2) to practice in reading, listening, writing and speaking
3) to train word guessing, thinking and memory
4) to develop ability to work in team
Visual aids: computer, white board, presentation, worksheets.
Evaluation: 1 right answer – 1 point

1) Organization moment
T: Good morning our pupils! Good morning our guests! I'm glad to meet you. How are you? Do you know English? Can you speak English? We’ll see it. Today we'll have a competition. Two teams will take part in our competition. The first team is USA team consist of the 6 a form students. The second team is GB team consist of the 6 ә form students.
T: Now, let me introduce our judges. Here they are: ….
T: OK. It's high time to begin our competition. Well, let's imagine that we are passengers of this bus. We are going to travel to Knowledge land. Look at the screen, please. Take your seats. Be more attentive. The bus is leaving. (slide 2). We wish all the participants “Good luck!”

1) Listen and read the English tongue twisters so quickly as possible:
A big black bug bit the big black bear, but the big black bear bit the big black bug back!
2) Put the words in the correct column (slide 4). Add some words to get extra points:

4. Good, they, friends, not, are - They are not good friends.
Bus stop 3 – Word - building (slide 6)
1) You see one of the longest words of English language. It is of 35 letters. You must built the words using the letters from given word:
Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia /ˌhɪ. pə. pɒ. təˈmɒn. strəˌsɛ. skwɪ. pɪˈdeɪ. lɪəˌfoʊ. bɪə/ - the fear of long words

1) Listen to the recording and find the place where the conversation is going on.

1) Teams are given a word. They must make a chain of words, in which the next word begins from the last letter of previous word.
