The theme: What do you want to be?
The educational objectives:
- to introduce with the names of professions;
- to revise the words on the topic “I want to be”
- to learn an opinion of pupils;
The development objectives:
- to develop an ability in group work and individual activity;
- to enlarge speaking and thinking ability;
The bringing - up objectives:
- to form aspiration to study the world of professions;
- to introduce variety of the professional world;
- to help the pupils in choosing the professions.
The type of the lesson: traditional lesson
The form of the lesson: combination lesson
The visual aids: the textbook, posters, markers, pictures, smiles.

The produce of the lesson
I. Organization moment.
T: Good morning, pupils!
P: Good morning, teacher!
T: Who is on duty today?
P: I’m on duty today.
T: Who is absent today?
P: All are present today.
T: OK. Sit down.

II. Checking the homework.
T: What was your homework for today?
P: Our homework to learn the names of month and seasons.
The main part
T: I’ll divide you in to 3 groups, please, choose the pictures from the blackboard.
The 1st group “teachers”
The 2nd group “doctors”
The 3rd group “pilots”. I’ll mark you with smiles, yellow smile - 3, green smile - 4, red smile - 5
Look at the blackboard and listen the poem
I want to win an Olympic race,
I want to see the Earth from space,
I want to travel to Katmandu
I want to be rich and famous too.
T: What is the poem about?
P: It’s about choosing the future career.
T: So, today we’ll speak about what do you want to be in the future.
Phonetic drill:

[ei]- sailor, tailor, baker, spaceman
[ai]- pilot, designer, driver, scientist
