The theme of the lesson: Lesson 30. Seasons
Aims:
● Introducing and practicing new vocabulary (seasons of the year) and with the rule of reading letters “Fr”.
● Developing pupils speaking, writing, reading skills.
● Bringing up children to be tidy, polite and friendly.
Visual aids: pictures, colourful pencils, cards, multi - board
New words: winter, spring, summer, autumn, warm, hot, cool, cold, fresh, windy, sunny and month
Type of the lesson: traditional
Methods: question, answer, translating, discussing.
Procedure of the lesson

I. Organization moment. Greeting. Talking with pupils on duty
Teacher: Good morning, children?
Pupils: Good morning, teacher.
Teacher: How are you?
Pupils: We are fine.
Teacher: Who is on duty today?
Duties: We are on duty today
Teacher: Who is absent?

II. Checking - up the hometask: Exercise 3 Match on page 87
- What was your hometask?
- Are you ready?

III. Warm - up:
Spring is green.
Summer is bright.
Autumn is yellow.
Winter is white.

IV. Presentation the new theme: Let` s begin our new lesson. Everybody has his/her favourite
season. What is your favourite season? And why do you like this season?
Look at the window. What can you see outside?

Seasons
There are four seasons in the year. They are winter, spring, summer, autumn.
Winter is the coldest season of the year. The winter months are December, January and February. The winter days are short and gloomy. It often snows and it freezes. Winter is a very beautiful season too.
March, April and May are spring months. Spring is the most pleasant of all the seasons of the year. The weather is getting warmer. The trees begin to bud. In spring all the migratory birds return.
The summer months are June, July and August. Summer is the hottest season of the year. The days are longest in summer. The longest day of the year is the 22nd of June. Some people like summer best of all.
The autumn months are September, October and November. The “Golden Autumn” is really beautiful with its yellow, red and brown trees and golden leaves falling down. Autumn is the season of fruit and vegetables. But the days become shorter and the nights longer and darker.
